Mastering Immigration Law Subscription Brexit Update

Brexit Negotiations and Settled Status

The UK’s vote to leave the EU on 23 June 2016 has not yet brought about any changes to the UK’s current membership of the EU. Until the UK leaves the EU, EU law continues to apply in the UK as it has done since the UK joined the European Economic Community (EEC) (as it then was) on 1 January 1973.

At the latest time of writing, it remains unclear when (or if) the UK is likely to leave, and whether this will be with or without a ‘deal’.

Mastering Immigration Law subscribers have access to the latest changes, and information on Brexit, available directly in their account. Module 11: European Union Law has now been updated to include further information on Brexit and the current state of EU Law in the UK.

Include in the update:

  • New information which outlines alternative advice scenarios for Deal vs No Deal Brexit – 11.1
  • The Article 50 Extension – 11.1
  • Significant expansion on the new rules on settled status which come in force 30th March 2019 – 11.6.8

In terms of immigration law, advice to EEA nationals and their families requires knowledge of all scenarios which remain possible at any given time, and their effect on each individual case.

New eBooks now available to download:
